The Retroid Pocket 2 is a retro gaming handheld that sets itself apart from the competition by being based on Android (upgradable to Android 8.1), granting it access to an already-existing huge library of emulators, games, and apps. Making this a truly comprehensive handheld gaming device perfect for an enthusiast.
Powered by a Quad Core Cortex-A7 1.5GHZ CPU, 1GB of RAM, and ARM Mali-4000 GFX – the Retroid Pocket 2 can handle a variety of games, from retro arcade titles, all the way up to more modern devices such as 5th Generation consoles.
Present on the Retroid Pocket 2 is a high-quality 640x480p IPS screen, providing crystal-clear, crisp visuals in all of your retro games. This is backed by a respectable 4000mAh battery, allowing you to game at high quality for longer periods of time.
The Retroid Pocket 2 also features responsive, “clicky” buttons, and an ergonomic design with an asymmetrical stick layout, enabling you to game for hours in comfort.
Connectivity is no issue with the Retroid Pocket 2 either. Featuring built-in Wi Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, as well as a Micro-HDMI port and USB-C port, seamlessly connect to a variety of devices with no difficulty.

Bought this on a whim. I love SNES and Megadrive classic RPGs, and have played them on Retropie & PC in the past. I also had high hopes for the PS1 / N64 emulation and was not disappointed
The only issue I have is with the Retroid app supplied with it. The app works fine for most emulators, but won't map a PS1 memory card, and has issues picking up the PS1 game title/name.
Overall this is NOT an issue. You don't have to use or install the Retroid app. Out of the box you just get an android OS, which already has Retroarch installed. Retroarch plays everything fine. It is however a shame as the Retroid app is a nice interface & takes up the majority of the memory card with pre installed games
A word of warning. For those who have not downloaded a Rom in a while. Loads of the old Romsites out there are now just scam / virus sites. Do a quick Google before you start hitting that download button
Love the device. Having something pick up and play is far more accessible than the fuss of playing titles through a TV or monitor. The quality overall is decent 8/10 Chinese device and there is plenty of support online for set up.
Note this device isn't plug and play. There is a small learning curve to get something like a specific game working. However the Retroid app comes with a load of pre-installed games so that part is practically plug & play
Runs loads of games.
A great little system, lots of ways to tinker with it and improve it. Would recommend anyone interested look at Retro game corps YouTube channel as they run through alot of tutorials if you want to change your os etc.
