GPD G1 eGPU Docking Station
I’m happy with the overall performance but I have some issue with Legion Go. Sometimes the GPD is not recognized and I need to reboot several times. Another problem is that often GPD can’t charge Legion Go who use the internal battery. Something weird. Hope that Droix support will help me with these stuff.
If it works the quality improvement and performance is amazing. Mine worked a few minutes and then disconnected very often. So I had to return it. So, I think the drivers are not ready yet and optimized so a lot of bugs and issues.
Thanks for your review. Unfortunately there are sometimes teethiing problems with new devices and GPD are aware of this issue and are working on a fix. The issue will be resolved shortly
GPD G1 eGPU Docking Station
See title. GPD has been a sketchy brand for me, but the G1 with its release was the only eGPU on the market that was portable so I reluntantly threw my hat into the ring. While performance was stellar and good for 1080 and 1440 at >100fps, not everything else was so rosy. The stock USB 4.0 cable was DOA and cuts out every so often, so I switched to a quality Thunderbolt 4 one I had on hand from Pluggable. Worse, however, was the power delivery. It was far below the advertised 60W power delivery. My Surface Pro 8 drains heavily while connected. I also tried various Lenovo and Dell laptops and they either did not charge via their USB 4 cables or charged like they were connected to 20-30W charger. Returning…
Sorry you have an issue with the cable. GPD have acknowledged the issue and it was related to a faulty batch. We apologise on behalf of GPD and we have already receved new cables and sending to the customers who had issues as well as new batch of G1 is supplied with new cables. On top of that we are testing them before despatch
