Description

The GPD WIN 4 is the ultimate portable handheld gaming PC, featuring the AMD Ryzen 7 6800U ZEN 3+ processor. It has 8 cores and 16 threads, running up to 4.7GHz at 28W TDP. Combined with the AMD Radeon 680M iGPU with 12 Cuda Cores running up to 2.2Ghz, it makes for a powerful handheld gaming console in your hands.

There is a choice of 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5 quad-channel RAM and a choice of high performance 1TB or 2TB of PCI-E 4.0 NVME SSD.

The GPD WIN 4 handheld gaming PC measures 8.6 x 3.6 x 1.1 inches (22 x 9.2 x 2.8 cm) and weighs around 570g. It puts it in the category of the smaller handhelds which are easily pocketable or able to be stored in a small bag.

The 6-inch H-IPS display looks bright and vibrant with a native horizontal display at 1920×1080. The GPD WIN 4 display slides up to reveal a QWERTY keyboard that improves on its GPD WIN 3 predecessor with pressable keys.

With the GPD WIN 4 being a handheld gaming PC there are full gaming controls including dual analogue sticks, D-Pad, gaming buttons and 6-axis gyroscope. There’s an optical finger mouse that is also pressable and on the other side is a fingerprint sensor for secure and fast logging into Windows 11. On the back of the handheld are two macro trigger buttons.

For wireless communication there is fast and reliable WiFi 6 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax and Bluetooth 5 for connecting peripherals to. There is one high speed USB 4 port with support for Thunderbolt 3 which you can connect external graphics cards (eGPU). You can transform the GPD WIN 4 from handheld gaming PC to gaming mini PC for even faster gaming performance!

The GPD WIN 4 handheld gaming PC is powered by a 45.62Wh battery which will last 2 hours on heavily load, 3-6 hours on medium load and up to 10 hours on light usage. This is an amazing handheld that can run AAA Windows games at playable FPS with quality visuals.

I bought the white one, the colour is very nice and the texture feels good in the hands. Sticks are slightly smaller than the asus ally which i previously owned then sold towards this one. Slide up screen is stiff which is what's needed and the back lit keyboard works very well for entering passwords and short messages. I use it on my transit to and from work on the train while playing fallout 4 and I get 2 solid hours to cover the train while having battery to spare!!! Settings are high in 720 resolution 60 fps. Small enough to fit in my jacket pocket and around the weight of a bottle of water :-)

Amazing little handheld!

The Win 4 is incredibly powerful for its size and is surprisingly ergonomic as well. It's not as ergonomic as the Steam Deck but for the size it's great. And the keyboard, though not ideal for typing loads, is excellent and far better than the Win 3 in all ways.

With it being a Windows device, there can be some set up and time spent customising things to get it working right, but that has its pros and cons. You'll also find some classic Windows bugs (sometimes hibernate causes things to go a bit weird) but I can look past that for all the pros.

It's not as easy to just get and start playing as some other handhelds, but for enthusiasts it's well worth it for how customisable it is. And add on the ability to pair with an e-gpu and it becomes a pretty powerful gaming PC.

Also, fantastic service from DroiX as usual. Always my go to and recommendation for friends.

Ditch your Steam Deck!

Don’t get me wrong the Steam Deck is (was) cool. However….this 2025 version of the GPD Win 4 is insane! It’s an absolute powerhouse of a gaming pc. The design is sooo great, like a PSP only it handles even the latest titles, stuff the Deck cannot. I’ve got my Win 4 docked and plugged into my big pub tv. PS5 controller, Bluetooth mouse and keyboard and currently playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I did 3 hours straight last night and it didn’t have any issues at all. I know it’s pricey compared to the Deck but if your like me, do you want something that will do or something that works? The Win 4 2025 addition is easily the best handheld gaming pc and the nicest that money can buy these days.

Great little powerhouse of a handheld!

Ordered this from DroiX to play games on Bazzite with, and my goodness, what a beast! It can be a bit 'weird' to hold, but you get used to it. The two USB-C ports make it far more versatile than the Steam Deck, and I was able to plow through Doom: TDA on it :D
