What is a Gaming Handheld?

PC Gaming Handhelds have become popular with the original GPD WIN, a clamshell design pocketable netbook with gaming buttons built-in.

The new Gaming Consoles are finally available, certainly with recurring availability concerns, so this is the perfect opportunity to take a look at the console market.

Unlike what has happened during other transitions, the current two generations of consoles clearly do not aim to coexist. There will not have been an ultra-compact version like PS One or even a sharp drop in price for the PS4 and Xbox One. These are sold far too expensive to keep the slightest interest.
