ANBERNIC RG351P Retro Gaming Handheld

It is a sick lil handheld and I have gone back to my childhood playing these games

Would recommend this to anyone, so much fun. Just working my way through the Mega Drive games at the moment. There is so many games on this thing. Very sturdy and feels great in your hands. I went for the plastic one and can not fault it what so ever.

Really happy with my RG351P, immediately installed 351ELEC and added my ROM collection, everything up to PSP is playing absolutely flawlessly. PSP is hit and miss with frame rate, Tony Hawk's Project 8 and LittleBigPlanet play perfectly but other games are choppy. Build quality is great, screen is great and perfect for 2x GBA scaling. Really happy with my new device

Does exactly what I want - perfect game system

Powered on and worked great out of the box. The outer case is plastic, but the unit is quite light as a result. The DPad is a bit rough, its useable but at the bottom end to be honest. If you want something with a bit more weight to it and a better DPad, order the MP version

Very nice bit of kit on the whole. Reasonable price, good form factor, reminiscent of gba/psp (love the purple colour). Decent quality components for the money and worked straight out of the box (I am not technically minded).

Only issue I’ve had is I can’t mount the sd card on windows 10 (inc using third party disk managers), so have had to use the WiFi to add games instead. Your guide for doing this was helpful thanks and it is straight forward I just imagine it’s a fair bit slower.

The only thing I would like to see improved (like most people I’m greedy!) is improved n64 performance and a significantly larger screen. If they can get this out without losing the reasonable, impulse buy pricing and before steam deck releases I will defo buy another.

Your service was excellent and my console was despatched the same day in perfect condition so would defo buy from you again.

Droix blew my mind especially for a period as busy as Christmas. I ordered one RG351P on 22/12/21 and another on 23/12/21. Both were delivered the next day respectively. This is amazing service!

Using the Product
The RG351P is as described/reviewed on the Droix web store. It came with everything Droix said it would come with. No suprises. It's a great handheld with customisable/upgradeable firmware i.e emuelec. Even though plastic, I think it's well built & designed. It comes preloaded with emulators & thousands of games out of the box. This is a real seller. The NDS games need a better firmware to get the emulated stylus to work responsively but games for other systems work generally well out of the box. In short, I love the product.

Conclusion
I would buy from Droix again. They offer an excellent all round service from start to finish. 5 stars defo.

Great little device not had it long but wouldn't be without it now.

Build quality is better then I was expecting for the price seems really well put together, don't get me wrong it's no Nintendo switch but at less then a 3rd of the price it never was going to be.

Screen when set up properly for the emulator is really nice, colours are great with no ghosting (unless using a ghosting shader for that proper gameboy look) and pretty sharp to my old eyes.

Buttons, d-pad and analog sticks all feel good and responsive no real complaints.

OS not a fan of the stock OS (especially with fact you not meant to ship a device with emuelec pre-installed) 351elec and ArkOS are a massive improvement so many more games work, free emulators are more up to date and the ports are much improved and you get more updates to the OS over stock, takes a bit of learning and getting use too, but if you search Retro Game Corps he has some excellent and easy to follow guides on how to set everything up it's well worth it.

Only issue I've had with my RG351P was the screen protector but that was all my fault has I cracked it trying to reposition it because I didn't fit it 100% right first time.

Not a great review but hope it helps someone out there.

Great little emulation device, if I was to pick any issues it would be the downward facing speakers and the noise while using the WiFi module but even then they are very minor issues.
