The RG351V is powered by the Rockchip RK3326, clocked in at 1.5GHz. It also features a respectable 1GB of DDR3L RAM. Between the RAM and the CPU, the RG351V is easily capable of handling a variety of platforms. From retro PC games to 5th generation home consoles, or even 7th generation handhelds.

The Anbernic RG351V retro handheld sizes up at approximately 14 x 9.4 x 2.68, making it a highly portable handheld console that can easily fit in your bag or suitcase, making it a perfect travel companion for long commutes, train rides, plane flights, or otherwise. In addition, the RG351V features a 640x480p screen allowing for crisp visuals in all your retro games.

Unlike its contemporaries, the Anbernic RG351V utilizes a unique twin-card storage design. With one SD card dedicated exclusively for the operating system and emulators, and the other card dedicated exclusively to games, it has never been easier to quickly and easily manage your collection across multiple SD cards, and add/remove titles on the fly without even needing to turn the system off.

The RG351V also packs a 3900mAh battery which enables it to run for up to a maximum of 6 hours off a single charge (lifetime will vary depending on CPU load and screen brightness).

Good system, but QC issues

On my second system (first had a dead pixel) and this one has faint vertical lines on pale backgrounds. I possibly expect too much on a system like this yo have a screen with no issues. Droix as a company however have been fantastic and if I ever feel the quality of these devices has improved I'd definitely get one from here.

Great screen, great custom firmware, needs better buttons.

I've been waiting for a Gameboy style retro gaming handheld to come to market that had the power to play up to PSX games and so far I'm really pleased the RG351v. Advice online was to invest in better micro SD cards and install a custom firmware. I went for 351elec and I am very happy with how it runs. It is a definite improvement over the stock firmware and well worth the time spent in downloading and installing. The ROM selection and scraped art work that came with the console were random and performance on the included N64, Dreamcast and PSP game was mostly terrible, so again it is well worth the time setting the RG351V up with better emulators , roms, and Skraper, etc.
The only thing that let's the RG351V down are the buttons. There is too much travel on the Dpad and the face buttons are quite poor. Meaning that things like special moves in fighting games can be very hit and miss.
I would certainly buy the next model if the manufacturer can get the buttons right. The buttons do not ruin the expirience for me, for most games they work well enough, but they are not in the same league as Official Nintendo systems.

Absolutely brilliant

I can't compare this personally to any other emulator handhelds, but for anyone else in that situation, it is absolutely brilliant. Luckily there are some great YouTube videos to help with setting it up. But it's not rocket science, and the games play marvellously. I have been mostly playing SNES, Mega Drive, and Playstation titles. The video screensaver, which cycles through little video clips of all the games in your library (press Start to immediately jump in and play!), is also a stroke of genius.

Better than expected

The RG351v is a little beast. Change the OS to 351elec or Arc and it’s even better. It can run some really challenging roms. The screen is amazing and I wondered about the gameboy form rather than PSP/switch style but I really love it. Nostalgic and so much power to run most games that you would ever try on the smaller screen. So happy with my purchase. DroiX are really great for communication and speedy delivery. Plus I think they are cheapest! Just do it.

After purchasing the Anbernic Rg351P which I had a lot of fun with . I see they released this new vertical model and all I can say this has been worth the upgrade for the screen alone. First I was skeptical because it only has one analog stick, mono speaker and the same chipset as my previous one. However most of the games this runs only needs one analog stick. With this device you can play retro games how they were meant to be with a full screen 4:3 ratio. Well worth the cash if you are on the fence thinking about getting this. The device is has a very customisable OS with plenty of sites like retro Corps that really help to get the most from the device. P.S the guys at Droix were great and delivery was very fast.

Fantastic!

Even though this thing will emulate a ton of systems I use it mainly as a GBA. Essentially what you have here is the greatest GBA ever created, the screen is gorgeous and the build quality is rock solid, no mushy DPAD or missed clicks on the buttons. Everything feels really well put together. The OS is great (I created a clean install so I could start from scratch) and Retroarch is reasonably straightforward to use.
Over the years I've bought quite a few of these sort of emulation handhelds and I've always been disappointed with the results, either the emulation is poor or the hardware is naff (nearly always a crap DPAD). This is the first one that ticks all the boxes and becomes a genuine replacement for my GBA SP AGS101. Buy one, you wont regret it.

Well this isn't my first anbernic handheld I recently bought an 351p and I love it! I have 351elec installed on it with all my favourite games it is an absolute joy to use and play. I then from droi X purchased the rg351v. I have not had much time with the system but I already did my homework on the system before I purchased it and again I'm not disappointed! It has a crisp detailed vibrant 4 by 3 display perfect for many of your retro console's and I love the fact that it's a vertical system! It feels comfortable in the hands even one handed play is comfortable!. I liked the 3 different colours they had available but I went with the light grey as the colour reminded me of the Japanese only sega Saturn. I'm looking forward soon to adding 351elec as the stock firmware is fine but I wanted something a bit more advanced. So finishing up this is another amazing entry by anbernic and I urge anyone who is into retro console's you will not be disappointed!. And with droi X it was my first time as there customer they provided super fast next day delivery! And an amazing first class service thanks so much guys and girls at droix and have a very merry Xmas!.gaz very happy customer 😄👍
