I wanted the SteamDeck but got put off by the long wait til after Q2 (now its pushed to Q3) and the limited game support (Destiny 2 my fav and non steam games) I decided to take the plunge and go for an alternative handheld.

Couldnt decide, too many options. So I contact Customer Support after hours with a list of games I wanted to play. They got back just after opening hours with a recommendation. I took their word for it and I have no regrets.

Came next day. Happy days! Fairly easy to setup; basic windows installation like with any new PC or fresh install

Been playing Destiny 2, GTAV, No Mans Sky, Project Cars 2, Forza etc no issues at around 60fps.

Sure the resolution and graphic settings are a bit lower than my gaming PC, but on a screen that size with the type of panel, you can't notice!

Plus with eGPU support, you can boost that performance. I'm lucky enough to have kept my 970 as a backup GPU after upgrading to the 2070S a few years ago.

I'm happy as I can game again without going into my home office and not missing out on time with the family.

I would recommend that if you have your games downloaded on your PC, use an external HDD to transfer them over. I transferred over 100gb in 30 mins whereas that would take at least 4-5 hours to download. Shame you cant do the same with MS games, but thats no fault of the device.

I had been looking at this range of handhelds for some time - Win3 etc. Due to the price I just didnt pull the trigger. Eventually I decided to as I had wanted the "ultimate" handheld - I chose this one over the others due to the screen size.

This beast is fantastic - a couple of games done work but this is due to them being older games, wanting a resolution such as 640x480 or 800x600. There is probably a patch somewhere but i havent looked as yet. Most games I have tried work - including Cyberpunk!!! You have to reduce the settings to minimum on the newer games but they look good due to the screen size.

The only negative is that this is only 1tb SSD. It is split into 2x500gb with 500gb being reserved for c: drive. I have put in a 512gb microsd but if you have bigger add this. I have also added a 2tb external hdd and now i have plenty of space - a built in 2tb for sale would have been a better starting place (this has been made but just not at droix).

Overall fantastic - the keyboard is also recommended and although the magnets arent as strong as others, it does the job and protects the screen when not being used. Mouse mode on the console is also better than I ever thought.

This handheld is lovely, its screen is really bright and comfortable to use.
The chip is powerful and the setup is really usable despite the lack of a trackpad and a physical keyboard, it does the job for casual settings and use.
The major inconvenience

Having owned the onexplayer 1s for a couple of weeks now I am blown away at how good it is. As an owner of a gaming pc, gaming laptop, switch Oled and Xbox series S the onexplayer is now my go to machine.

So the good things.. the screen is incredible, so clear, vibrant which I can watch for ages unlike my switch. This is a fast machine and I play rogue lites in High settings at native resolution 60fps and AAA titles at low/medium settings at a playable frame rate. Battery life seems to be about 2.5 hours of gaming time. The charger included is fast! Set up was really easy and I was playing within 20 mins of it arriving. It’s really comfortable to hold and the stand is perfect. This is a top quality machine, well worth the price!

The not so good… the sound is ok but not amazing, however use headphones and it’s fab!

If you are like me you will watch lots of reviews. Some say the fans are noisy.. they aren’t and you can cut the fan noise down by holding the mute button down for 2 seconds. The only other thing is cursor drift however when this happens hold down the 2 small buttons for 2 seconds and it stops.

The final thing.. this machine is incredible and I have now cancelled my steam deck order it’s that good. I have purchased an EGPU unit from razer and put an old 5700xt card in it. This box sits in the corner and I can connect a thunderbolt cable between that and my onexplayer .. the result AAA gaming in ultra on my onexplayer or external monitor 60fps all day long!

Droix has been perfect - very informative, great price and quick delivery. The best! Can’t fault at all cheers!

I was tired of waiting for the steam deck, and instead plumped for this. and i am so glad i did. I have upgraded to Windows 11, and it runs every game I have thrown at it in full resolution and more importantly very smoothly. it is definitely a powerhouse. There may be some fringe cases with games not playing nice with the XE graphics, but these are few and far between, i caw graphical glitches in COD WWII. but overall very happy, I will be purchasing the steam deck when my reservation is finally fulfilled to compare, however I suspect I will be selling that forward instead of this as the screen is double the resolution and beautiful to play on. and kudos to Droix for quick fulfilment and delivery (Next Day)

Great little machine - played everything I’ve thrown at it with excellent graphics, highly recommended

With a little optimization and patience, this console can run a large majority of the games of the last 30 years, you ça run à lot of actualisées games maybe notre in extrême graphics but it work and the emulators are almost at the top and possibility of adding a slight reshade,
and it is just as possible to use it as a troubleshooting workstation because it is a pc!
the only negative point I would have to say is that in the absence of peripherals, the windows interface is not practical and the weight of this monster will not be suitable for small hands.
in any case I found my new travel console, I hope it will have a long life!
