REFURBISHED DroiX VIP V2 / MX3-L Backlit Air-Mouse w/ FULL QWERTY Keyboard

This is the second Droix android box I've bought and I'm delighted. It's fast, the QWERTY keyboard is well worth the extra and it does everything I wanted. Easy to set up too. Overall, a great buy.

This is an excellent remote for putting searches etc into your box,and is easy to reprogram so it can also turn your box on,,for the price you cannot get any better,has a good feel to it to,very tactile.

Sadly my new Droix box constantly disconnects from my network. I’ve bought a new high speed Ethernet cable but it constantly drops and says not connected.
Using WiFi sadly is no more secure. Apps often tell me it cannot connect and I discover the droix box has lost its connection again. Infuriating. I’ve gone back to my old T8V4. Works perfectly.
I’m sure the Droix box is a good piece of kit but I’ve just lost patience with it.

I bought this primarily to watch Eurosport Player streams - for some bizarre reason, the Chromecast stream is far less reliable and of lower quality compared to watching directly on iOS or Android. By having the original Android stream displayed on my TV, I now get a proper 1080p picture and stutter free live streams.
The qwerty air mouse is pretty good. I had trouble getting it to work at first, but after discovering that it was a loose battery terminal it now works fine. I thought with the EShare app that it might have been a waste of money, but I prefer the remote to using my phone.
One criticism I have is that the power cable and supplied HDMI cable are very short, no more than a metre. My Droix sits on top of my AV receiver so doesn't need a long HDMI cable, but you would probably need to use a longer one if you are plugging into a TV.

I always liked this remote. It's is has a handy keyboard which allows for easy typing
